So This is Why….
…I’m so messed up. Look at the kind of stuff I watched as a kid!
Cannot believe how much of this comes back to me when watching it - and how much of it I still almost find funny in the same way it did in 1991.
But look at it - seriously, it ain’t normal. And to think I nearly pushed Timmy Mallet over the other day!
Ed Byrne: Different Class
Not that you’d guess from the title or image, I’ve been watching the new DVD from Ed Byrne, ‘Different Class’.
I’ve always liked Byrne on a small-doses basis but I have to admit that his first DVD was a bit of a turn-off, and didn’t really do much for what is a pretty simple sense of humour of mine though.
It seems, however, that Byrne has matured in recent years. He’s done the round of TV appearances, gameshows etc and comes over very well, and his newest DVD offering really is good.
His chatty style makes for an easy, relaxed watch and his observational humour is really up there. He refers to his first DVD being a bit of a flop and you have to admire the way he rips into himself for it. It was, he says, out-sold by the WAGS’ DVD, which in itself is simply hilarious.
He’s honest and genuinely funny - well worth a watch if you get chance….

The Big Eat

Now then. My tea is ready and I’m about to eat one of the two Lasagne above. Can you guess which one??
Class Act
Ryan Giggs – Sports Personality of the Year 2009. At 36 years of age and with eleven Premiership medals to his name, you’d he might be forgiven to taking it easy.
Nah.
Even now he slides back the years with some real moments of quality and is a real class act; fully deserving of this award and nice to see the Ashes winning side getting the Team award, too.
Thanks for That
From League Two to the Championship, back to back.
Less than half a season gone, Darren Ferguson is sacked.
That’s thanks for you.
You’d expect he’ll be a Premier League manager within the next year anyway, so maybe he’ll have the last laugh…
