Cows Everywhere…
Operation: Seth McFarlane
I’ve decided to keep myself a little sharper by challenging myself with something new by way of work each month.
I’ve got where I am now - how far that is, I’ll leave up to your judgment - without anything other than my own intelligence and instinct - this is to say that I’m unqualified, rather than a wise old owl, but for 21, I don’t think my position is that bad - I’ve broken newspapers, websites and football progammes & media, and my favourite has to be the journalism, so for now I’m going to concentrate on getting myself some decent interviews.
First - Seth McFarlane; creator of FG & American Dad and the sole responsibility for almost half of my DVD collection.
Ambitious? Maybe. Why the hell would he talk to me? Don’t worry I’ve thought the same. But you never know unless you try, and ambition has served me well so far so I can only keep going. I’ve managed to track down his agent and I’ve made contact, we’ll see where it goes from there.
What I want from you chaps and souls, is a) ideas for future interview targets, and b) possible questions for SM from fellow FG and American Dad fans?
Unlucky, Connie

Britain’s Got Talent, now there’s a bit more of a talent show worth watching.
I don’t like Big Brother, I liked X-Factor for about a series, and the less said about Grease is the Word and Any Dream Will Do, the better.
This one was a bit better. The talent was much more general rather than marginalized, still the annoying aspects of the “judges” and the public vote, but the fact that this, from start to finish, was all over within a week probably makes up for that.
I have to admit I quite liked watching it, I would rather Connie had won in the end, I think we all would, especially following the revelation that winner of the show and 100k and an album contract Paul Potts has already had opera training, hardly the idea of the show. But she’s only six, and has many, many more years to make it!
Booby City…
I never normally directly plug things in this way but I have to make a little exception tonight for the folks over at The Chris Moyles Show.
The weekly podcast - highlights from that weeks shows - is usually fairly good entertainment but this week’s had me in stitches, mainly because there’s a lot of Dominic Byrne on it, and as you know, I find Mr. Byrne extremely amusing.
On this week’s, you can his despair as Dave and Chris pull a prank on him, his disapproving thoughts on the idea of stories such as “Spiderman and the Bald, Brummie, Burglar”, “Spiderman and the Lapdancer” and many more.
Spiderman at Booby City in Peterborough? Oh yes - only here ladies and gentleman.
Well worth the download, off to watch the Final of Britain’s Got Talent - I shall report!
Stan the Man

Got myself a new TV programme to enjoy, I may have an unhealthy amount of DVDs stashed away in my collection but they in their entirety cover about three or four programmes so it’s good to have something new.
There’s also the fact that I’m 21 and I’m working so much that the only time I ever get to watch anything resembling a DVD is when I’m just about asleep at night; so it’s a testament that I’ve been keeping my eyes open just a bit longer lately to watch American Dad, from the genius behind Family Guy that is Mr. Seth McFarlane.
I admit I’d turned my nose up at the chanced of watching American Dad before now because I’d been such a devout fan of FG and it felt like watching it would make me a cheat. But, I’ve watched it, and not only do I not feel like a cheat, I can honestly say that it is very, very funny.
It’s the same controversial humour as FG, if not a little more so, and yet they were without the massive amount of cut-aways and flash-backs that now seems to be the standard mantle of Family Guy. I think Stan is absolutely hilarious and once again McFarlane’s amazing talents as a voice over artist is displayed.
I definitely recommend it, I gobbled up the whole First Season in about a week… Granted 20 minute episodes aren’t much but that’s American TV for you!
